We are thrilled to introduce our A•C•E•S (Able, Capable, Empowered, Strong) adult programming, designed to engage people with Down syndrome in a variety of ways, through education, support and social activities.
NEW THIS YEAR
Living & Learning Academy – Weekly topics will focus on developing skills necessary to become independent and confident life-long learners. Activities will include money skills, employment skills, budgeting, community living & more.
Being, Belonging, Becoming – This is an 8-week long series with the Cleveland State University Occupational Therapy students focusing on emotional well-being, relationships and healthy living.
Steps to Independence – This weekend-long retreat at Cleveland State University that began in 2018 teaches independent living skills and provides an opportunity for participants to make friends in a college environment with the assistance of college students in the Occupational Therapy program
Entrepreneur Boot Camp – a 6-week boot program to learn how to start your own business and create meaningful employment for yourself. At the end of the course, you will be assigned a mentor from the business community.
Mind•Body•Soul – This program is dedicated to social opportunities and learning how to achieve a healthy lifestyle. Social events throughout the year include dances, bingo and service projects.
