Abilities First Foundation
Abilities First Foundation provides services for children and adults with disabilities, developmental delays and other special needs in Southwest Ohio. Over 1,000 clients are served annually by 115 employees in an eight county region.
Achievement Centers for Children Recreation Programs
Achievement Centers for Children Recreation Programs • Camp Cheerful - Residential camping experiences for children 5 & up and adults with and without disabilities at Camp Cheerful, located in the Cleveland Metro Parks in Strongsville. • Cheerful Day Camp – Day camping programs for children ages 5 – 17 with special needs at Camp Cheerful in Strongsville. • Champ Camp - Day camp programs for children ages 5 – 13 with special needs at Westlake and Highland Hills facilities. • SENSATIONal Day Program – Day camp program for school-aged children diagnosed with Autism, PDD, PDD-NOS, or Asperger’s Disorder. • High Ropes Challenge Course- Professionally constructed and fully accessible climbing structure for all ages and abilities. • Therapeutic Horseback Riding – Year round horseback riding program for children ages 4 & older and adults with special needs at Camp Cheerful in Strongsville. • Adapted Aquatics – Year round swimming and water safety instruction for childre ...
Lake Metro Parks
To conserve and preserve the natural resources of Lake County while providing a variety of safe, affordable and enjoyable educational and recreational programs and activities that enhance the quality of life in Lake County now and for the generations to follow. Many adaptive programs are available and they fill up fast! They also take program requests.
Lose the Training Wheels
The mission of Lose The Training Wheels™ is to teach individuals with disabilities to ride a conventional two wheel bicycle and become lifelong independent riders. This achievement, in turn, creates a gateway of opportunity, helping them gain assurance and self-reliance in many other aspects of their lives.
Mayfield Village Parks and Rec. Department

Recreation Unlimited
Recreation Unlimited offers 1 week camps for campers ages 8 through adulthood. The camp is located in Ashley, Ohio.
Solon Recreation Department
Solon Recreation Department offering activities to residents and non-residents. The Solon Recreation Department offers many different types of programs to youth, teens, adults and senior citizens. These programs take place at Solon's own Community Center, Community Park or one of the schools on campus. Each program is guided by competent and courteous staff members.
Step By Step Academy - for fee
Founded in 2002, Step By Step Academy is a non profit treatment center which provides a safe, nurturing, learning environment to children with autism and their peers. Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is the root of all treatment methods used. The research proven ABA model consists of: identifying a challenge or problem; setting goals and objectives; implementing procedures to increase, teach or reduce behaviors. Step By Step Academy is certified by the state of Ohio and employs a team of doctoral-level psychologists, Board Certified Behavior Analysts™, Board Certified Associate Behavior Analysts™, and staff with advanced training and certifications, that create, manage and direct each child’s individual program.

Adaptive Swim Lessons – located in Strongsville. Private and Semi Private Swim Lessons for children and teenagers with mental and physical disabilities. Beth Lattime is an intervention specialist with over 20 years of swim instruction experience. She also holds a MA in Special Education.
