Cuyahoga County Board of Developmental Disabilities

1275 Lakeside Ave. East, Cleveland, Ohio, 44114

Each year, the Board of DD provides services and supports to more than 10,000 boys and girls and men and women in Cuyahoga County. The community knows us best for our early childhood centers, schools, adult activities centers and group homes, but we’re much more than that. Our full range of services includes everything from in-home early intervention programs for very young children and their families to leisure programs for seniors. Much of what we do goes beyond the walls of our own centers and homes and takes place in the community, where we encourage individuals with developmental disabilities to live, learn, work and play

No Rulz Art Cooperative

The No Rulz Art Cooperative was established in 2007 to bring young adults with and without disabilities together to explore different art mediums in a social atmosphere. “Understanding socks” grew out of a tie-dying project and has taken off due to the quality of work and cooperative efforts between people building on each other’s strengths. All phases of the tie-dying production are shared among the No Rulz members. The product, “Understanding Socks”, reflect the group’s hope for a greater understanding of the abilities of ALL PEOPLE!
