National Rehabilitation Information Center (NARIC)
We are a library and information center which serves anyone from the professional or lay person. We do collect and disseminate the results specifically from NIDRR funded research projects. Though our collect includes other documents related to disability and rehabilitation which are not NIDRR funded. Perhaps placement as a national organization may be more appropriate? As part of our referral services we provide a myriad of information on all types of rehabilitation and disability topics (i.e. advocacy, financial resources, specific disabilities/conditions, etc.). Information and referral services are free. We also provide document delivery of publications starting at 5 cents per page with a $5.00 USD minimum. Patrons can contact us by phone, fax, mail, email, virtual reference chat, or through our website. Our TTY number is 301/459-5984.
Stanford School of Medicine - Down Syndrome Research Ce...
We asked ourselves what it would take to move Down syndrome research to the forefront. Two essential elements: an inspiring and motivating environment to attract the best scientists and clinicians, and funds to support their research efforts. And so we began. Together with the tireless effort and input from these parents, the Center for Research and Treatment of Down Syndrome at Stanford University was created in April 2003. We are dedicated to helping people with Down syndrome by promoting awareness of research, identifying problems and treatments, and by supporting the community.
The Down Syndrome Research and Treatment Foundation (DS...
