Here are some of the wonderful ways our USOD members are supporting our wonderful community.

Special Hands Artists began four years ago as the dream of an entrepreneurial artist with Down syndrome. After years of art classes she decided to create and sell art as her business. April works in the Artisans Barn at Settlers Villiage in Middlefield as well as in her home studio in Russell Ohio. Sometimes she works with other special artists. She designs note cards,pottery items, and hand molded soaps. The hand formed and painted "I Love You" plaque was the first SHA design. The hand is formed by Aprils' and other SHA own hands.   SHA has  many soap molds that can be customized for you special occasion. The soaps are $5.00each .The Hand plaques are $12.00.  Note cards and other items are available. It is our pleasure to donate 20% of all the sales from this site to the Up side of Downs. I love to do charm bracelets, When I was younger I always loved charm bracelets so I thought of doing it as a hobby.  I make them to sell, I make them for gifts also.  I have made my friends some.  My best friend had Breast Cancer and I made her a special one.  I try and do them according to what each person likes.  Also  ribbon ones for Breast Cancer awareness. I also do some embroidered charm bracelets I made a lot of those for Easter and for gifts.  My price would be $8.00 a bracelet and I would like to donate $2.50 per bracelet to the USOD.
